Another successful Platinum Triangle Poker Run, despite the week of bad weather... (for us Wednesday was the best day to fly hands). Even Saturday at the host airport it rained on and off, with a ceiling of 800 feet.  Nevertheless, Wingham was ready for the event with vendors tents set up outside and a great BBQ lunch ready for all who flew/drove (even rolled) in. The Poker Run crew kept busy stamping hands, supervised the drawing of cards, and by 3:30pm all hands were in, judged, and it was time to start awarding prizes. 34 prizes where handed out in total, including $1500 worth of cash prizes and 14 $50 gas vouchers. Best hands this year were held by:  Peggy Stilter, $500 winner Andi Rutan, $400 winner Jon Maddison, $300 winner Jim Farrell, $200 winner Lorne Schroeder, $100 winner Congratulations to all the winners!! Our appreciation to a/p manager Rod Hickey, Denise Lockie and their volunteer group who worked so hard on the Poker Run. Also thanks to John Burt, Lorne & Lorna Schroeder and Buster & Grace Wood who all traveled down to Wingham via car to help out for the day. The Poker Run committee has already met to discuss options for future runs... more info to come at a later date!

Fall is here, and what student couldn't use a few extra bucks for books? Have you (or someone you know) been accepted into a recognized aviation college? Our annual scholarship is awarded to one lucky qualifying student from
Grey or Bruce County. If you have applied in previous years, please do so again! Visit our website or email Jenn or Harold to request an application form!
